ABOUT THE HOST OF THE WORKSHOP

Britta Ofori-Kuragu is a Purposeful Parenting Practitioner, a Licensed Conscious Parenting Class Facilitator, mother of two beautiful souls and a co-author (alongside 100 + Black Women) of the ground-breaking book: ‘Love Letters to My Girls’.

Due to her own difficult childhood experiences, Britta is an avid advocate for raising children gently, intentionally and purposefully and she loves helping parents with a childhood rooted in trauma and poverty to break the cycle. She supports parents via her membership platform: The Purposeful Parenting Club and her 1:1 program called the 'Empower Hour'.

Britta is passionate about empowering mothers, especially on their journey to creating a peaceful, joyful, loving and prosperous home for themselves and their children to thrive. She also has a keen interest in empowering mothers to support their children to nurture their creativity, share their unique gifts and interests with the world and build an enterprise around those interests if possible.

Britta’s children - Prince (9) and Verity (5), each have a little enterprise centred around their unique interests. They are already making a huge impact with their ventures, have served customers around the world, been featured in the newspaper and donated some of their products to great causes. You can read their story here: MetroUK Article

She believes this only became a possibility after she became conscious and intentional about raising her children in a way that gently nurtures and honours their authenticity and true essence.

Britta has a firm belief that every mother has been presented with an opportunity to learn and grow alongside their children. Especially for mothers with a traumatic childhood, this opportunity means that they can simultaneously reparent, raise and nurture themselves + endeavour to meet their unmet needs from childhood, while they raise and nurture their children.

She also believes that this approach to parenting strengthens the parent-child relationship based on a deep sense of connection, trust, safety, collaboration and mutual respect - the elements needed to cultivate authenticity and tap into infinite potential.

Britta is from Ghana - West Africa, but has lived in Denmark and Australia and now resides in the UK. She is on a mission to help mothers with a challenging childhood to turn their wounds into wisdom and create a better life and future by prioritising their wellbeing and creating an empowering home environment for themselves and their children to flourish.

Britta has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology and an MSc in Public Health - Health Promotion. She is always keen to learn, grow and evolve, as she serves humanity.
